On November 10, 2010, Mr. José Luis Ruiz Galán and Mr. Jordi Pujante Mitjavila, two senior partners of Roca Junyent, visited Tahota Law Firm and discussed relevant matters concerning establishing of partnership, recommendation of clients to each other and assignment of lawyers to each other with Shoutai Cheng (director of Tahota Law Firm), Lawyer Wen Wu (partner of Tahota) and Lawyer Jianming Gan.

Roca Junyent was a top-5 law firm in Spain with 65 partners and 242 lawyers. It was headquartered in Barcelona and established branches in Madrid, Mallorca and Shanghai. Lawyer Jordi Pujante Mitjavila was a senior partner of Roca Junyent Barcelona, while Lawyer José Luis Ruiz Galán was chief representative partner of Roca Junyent Shanghai Representative Office. During communication with our firm, these two partners fully expressed their will to launch comprehensive cooperation with Tahota, the largest law firm in Central and West China and hoped to provide Spanish clients with one-stop services relying on the advantages of Tahota of establishing of office places in Chengdu and Chongqing.

In the meeting, Lawyer Wen Wu, a partner of Tahota, welcomed Spanish clients warmly on behalf of Tahota first. Later, Lawyer Jianming Gan introduced Tahota. During the meeting, Director Cheng also expressed the idea of cooperating with top law firm in Spain and sharing information with it for a win-win situation. He specifically pointed out Spanish market not only included Spain but also influenced countries in north of Africa and countries in Latin America and Chinese enterprises needed abundant comprehensive legal services in multiple languages when going global. He hoped that Tahota could provide Chinese clients with better comprehensive services when going global by relying on the advantages of Spanish law firm and Spanish. Lawyer José Luis Ruiz Galán fully recognized the suggestions from Director Cheng and pointed out that many Spanish clients were seeking for investment in China especially investment projects and opportunities in West China. He expected that Tahota could give full play to its local advantage to provide all-around services for Spanish clients from project matchmaking to business negotiation and enterprise establishment.

Finally, the two parties end the meeting in an amicable and warm atmosphere and took a group photo in the lobby to mark the occasion.
